CSMA Faculty Exhibition 2023

Kumi Korf: Tagasode (Kimono Project)

In Japanese, Tagasode translates to “whose sleeves?” a phrase used in classical love poetry to evoke the memory of a woman through her empty kimono. For this exhibition, Kumi Korf gathered nine women artists, sent them kimonos and invited them to create artwork with the garments as the catalyst.

Watercolor Student Exhibit

Students from our current Watercolor Landscapes class, as well as any students from the past two years of CSMA’s watercolor classes, chose their favorite pieces from in-class or out of class assignments to display. Subjects include the landscape (both plein air and source photo work), still life, flowers, animals and even portraits. Join us on Gallery Night, July 5th, for an exciting watercolor demo in the Lower Gallery!
